Customer came to us via a referral from a friend who had an installation in Dec 2021 and was raving about it when they were at dinner there recently. Due to the property being in an area of outstanding natural beauty we had to look at alternative roofs than the south facing front as it faced the main road out of the village.

The customers checked with Sevenoaks Council and confirmed they were allowed to install on any other orientation. We agreed upon a 6.88kW system with 8 panels on the south facing pitched roof on the garage at the bottom of the garden and 8 panels on a west facing annex roof along the right side of the property, keeping the array to the right of the building to avoid too much shading from the trees.

This meant ground works so we called the Director of JPS Construction and, on survey, he confirmed it would not be an easy job but was very happy to help us with concrete breaking, ducting and hiding as much of the cabling as possible for a great aesthetic finish. The customer also requested a Powerwall 2 and Gateway, a Zappi EVCP (22kW) and an Eddi diverter switch to heat their emersion tank with excess solar.

Working well together the teams managed to finish the installation with as little inconvenience to the customer as possible and they now have a system that is working exactly as predicted with a nice amount of excess being exported for the Good Energy exclusive export tariff which will cover their increased usage in the Winter when the solar will not produce as much.

Please contact us today and one of our designers will be delighted to discuss this kind of project with you.
