Surveys:

Do I need to be present for the site survey?

Yes please! Should we need to discuss anything specific relating to your forthcoming installation, it will be done during at this point of your installation journey, so we strongly recommend you are present at this point to meet with our surveyor.

DNO (Distribution Network Operators) Stage:

Do I need to inform my area DNO of my new installation?

We will do this on your behalf. Depending on the size of your system, it will either be a notification or an application. Your Designer will be able to give you more information on this.

Installation stage:

Do I need to be present for any scaffolding dates?

No – as long as they have access to the areas where scaffolding will be required, our trusted scaffolding team will erect the scaffolding without you needing to be present.

Do I need to be present on the arranged install days?

Yes – our experienced team will explain how to operate your system and install the relevant apps to your device on choice to allow you to monitor your systems performance.

What time will we be on site for the installation days?

Our team our generally on site from 08:00 until 16:00 on each day of your installation.

How long does our installation take?

No two projects are the same, but for a conventional domestic install, you can expect it to be undertaken over 1, 2 or 3 days. Larger / commercial installations will be assessed with your design consultants to establish time frames. We also facilitate multiple installation phases where necessary.

Handovers:

When and how will I receive the handover documents?

Your handover documents will be emailed to you within 10 days after your installation is complete. We can complete paper copies if requested.

What is the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG)?

The Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) is a government backed initiative launched in January 2020. Electricity suppliers pay solar panel owners for electricity they have generated and put into the grid.

What will I need to set up the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG)?

MCS certificate, G98/G99 approval from the district network operator (DNO), export MPAN from the district network operator (DNO).
